What a school website costs in India

A school site is priced by how many pages it needs, how much it has to do for admissions and how many languages it speaks. Appearance comes last.

A parent compares schools on a phone, usually late in the evening, usually after a friend has mentioned two names. The website is where the shortlist is made or lost. What it costs depends far more on what it has to do than on how it looks.

The ranges, in plain terms

These are the same indicative ranges the studio publishes on its pricing page. A brochure site of up to about six pages sits at ₹60,000 to ₹1,20,000. A custom design of seven to fifteen pages sits at ₹2,00,000 to ₹4,00,000. A larger site, or one with integrations, sits at ₹4,00,000 and up. They are starting points, not quotes, and exclude taxes.

What moves a school site up or down

  • Pages: admissions, fees, academics, facilities, faculty, results you may publish, news, contact. Count them honestly before asking for a quote.
  • Admissions features: an online enquiry form is simple. Online applications, fee payment or a parent portal are integrations, and they move the site into the larger range.
  • Languages: a Hindi version alongside English adds to the website range for each extra language. Plan the translation text as a separate task.
  • Photography and film: real classrooms and real teachers do more than stock images, and they take time to arrange.
  • Content: who writes and approves the text. A school whose text is ready finishes sooner.

What to settle before you ask for quotes

Write down the three things a parent must be able to do on the site: find the fees, understand eligibility and dates, and reach a person. Everything else is secondary. A studio can quote against those three, and a school can judge each quote against them.

Use the website readiness checklist so the logo files, text, photographs and logins are ready, and the school admissions calendar to see how far back to start. Both print on A4.

Compare quotes fairly

Ask each studio the same questions: how many pages are included, which admissions features are in or out, who writes the text, how many rounds of feedback, and who owns the files at the end. A lower figure that leaves out the admissions form is not lower.

Do your own estimate

The website cost calculator turns your choices into a range in a minute, and the timeline estimator shows how long the work should take. If a quote is far outside either, ask why.

Something we haven’t covered? Ask us.

Is a school website cheaper than a business website?

Not by itself. The price follows the pages and the features, and a school with online applications or payments sits in the larger range.

Do we need a Hindi version?

Only if your parents need it. Each extra language adds to the website range and needs proper translation, so decide it early.

Can we start with a small site and grow it?

Yes. A brochure site with the admissions basics is a sound first step, as long as the design and the structure leave room for more.

What should we have ready before we brief a studio?

Your logo files, the text for the main pages, photographs you own, who approves, and the date the site must be live by. The readiness checklist lists them.
