QR code
A QR code is a square pattern that a phone camera reads to open a link, such as a WhatsApp chat, a Google review page or a website. On a signboard, bill or visiting card it turns print into a one-tap action.
In practice
What it means when you are the one making the decision.
Keep the code large enough and with a quiet border, use dark on light, and test it from the real distance on the real material before printing. Put a short line beside it saying what it does.
Use a code that points to a link you control and can keep working, because a printed code cannot be changed once it is on a board.
Example
A shop prints a code on the counter card that opens its Google review page, with a line asking customers to scan it after they pay.
